This Privacy Policy explains what personal information is collected when you use My Micro Lifestyle, how it is used, and your rights.

1. The Brain Dump and your private content

The Brain Dump is designed so that the thoughts and tasks you enter stay on your own device.

This includes:

• your Brain Dump thoughts and tasks;
• Must Do, Quick Win and Can Wait categories;
• completed and uncompleted task status;
• items you choose to carry forward;
• your saved daily list; and
• certain app preferences.

This information is stored locally in your browser or installed app.

My Micro Lifestyle does not receive, read or store the thoughts and tasks you enter into your Brain Dump.

Your locally stored information remains on your device until it is removed by the app's normal operation, you clear the site's/app's stored data, or you uninstall/remove the app in a way that clears its data.

2. Information you give us

When you request access to the free Brain Dump, we ask for:

• your first name; and
• your email address.

We use this information to provide access to the Brain Dump and manage your contact record.

Your first name and email address are sent securely through the app to our email/contact management provider, Systeme.io.

We do not store a separate copy of your email address in the Brain Dump's local storage.

3. Emails about My Micro Lifestyle

You can separately choose whether you would like to receive occasional marketing emails from My Micro Lifestyle about new tools, ideas and updates.

Marketing consent is optional. You can access the free Brain Dump without agreeing to receive marketing emails.

If you choose to receive them, we record information about your consent, which may include:

• when you gave consent;
• the signup source;
• the version of the consent wording you agreed to; and
• the date of any later confirmation of your consent.

We rely on your consent to use your personal information for this email marketing.

You can withdraw your consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails or by contacting us at home-ed-journey@outlook.com.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

4. Our reasons for using your information

Under UK data protection law, we need a lawful basis for processing your personal information.

We currently use:

Providing the Brain Dump: where you ask us to provide access to the Brain Dump, we process the information needed to respond to that request and provide the service.

Marketing: where you actively choose to receive marketing emails, we rely on your consent.

Operating and protecting the service: we may process limited technical information where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating, securing and troubleshooting My Micro Lifestyle.

We do not use the content of your Brain Dump for advertising, profiling or marketing.

5. Who processes your information

Systeme.io

We use Systeme.io to manage Brain Dump signups and email contacts.

Systeme.io may process:

• first name;
• email address;
• signup tags; and
• marketing-consent records where you have opted in.

Your actual Brain Dump thoughts and tasks are not sent to Systeme.io.

Lovable and hosting infrastructure

We use Lovable and associated infrastructure providers to host and operate My Micro Lifestyle.

These services may process limited technical information needed to provide and protect the service, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested URLs and technical logs.

Your Brain Dump thoughts and tasks are not sent to Lovable by My Micro Lifestyle.

We do not sell your personal information.

6. Information stored on your device

My Micro Lifestyle uses browser storage, including local storage, to make the Brain Dump work without requiring you to create an account.

This may store:

• your Brain Dump content;
• categories and completion status;
• carry-forward items;
• the date your list was prepared;
• app preferences;
• whether you have already entered through the welcome screen; and
• whether you have installed or dismissed the option to add the app to your device.

This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.

The app may also use a service-worker cache to store parts of the application itself so the PWA can work correctly and provide offline functionality. This cache contains app files rather than your Brain Dump content.

7. Cookies and tracking

My Micro Lifestyle currently does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, tracking pixels or behavioural advertising technologies.

We do not currently use services such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or TikTok Pixel within the app.

If this changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, ask for your permission before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

8. How long we keep your information

Information held in Systeme.io is kept for as long as reasonably required for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing the service, maintaining appropriate consent/suppression records and meeting legal obligations.

If you unsubscribe from marketing, we will stop sending marketing covered by that withdrawal.

We may retain limited information necessary to record that you have unsubscribed or objected to marketing so that we can respect your preference in future.

Brain Dump content stored locally on your device remains there until it is removed through the app's normal operation or your browser/device data is cleared.

9. International data transfers

Some of the service providers we use may process limited personal information outside the United Kingdom.

Systeme.io states that its servers are hosted by Amazon Web Services in Ireland and that data stored through its service remains within the European Union.

Our hosting and infrastructure providers may use service providers located outside the United Kingdom. Where UK personal information is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards are used where required by UK data protection law, such as approved contractual protections.

Your Brain Dump thoughts and tasks are stored locally on your device and are not transferred to these providers by My Micro Lifestyle.

10. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights relating to your personal information, including the right to:

• ask for access to personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct inaccurate information;
• ask us to delete certain information;
• ask us to restrict certain processing;
• object to certain uses of your information;
• receive certain information in a portable format; and
• withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

You have the right to object at any time to the use of your personal information for direct marketing.

11. Complaints

If you have concerns about how we use your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve them.

We may update this Privacy Policy as My Micro Lifestyle develops or if the way we use personal information changes.
